I paint in watercolours because I try to evoke the softness and blurred edges of the landscapes as I see them. My scenes are of the sea, rivers, land and sky - places I know and love, or those I imagine. The yachts and barges I paint emerge from a lifelong love of boats. My paintings have no hidden meanings - they are just views of the world and the colours and shapes it gives us.
